EUIC 2025 - Wolfe con Perish claims victory

Image
This weekend was fun, fun as in I watched alot of Pokemon VGC matches. That being from the European International Championship 2025. I am always amazed watching the Junior(s) and Senior(s) VGC matches, they can get intense at times, but not as intense as someone going up against "Wolfe Glick" and his Perish Trap team; or as Marco Silva said in a live stream "Wolfey con Perish". That quote will come up everytime we see Wolfe and his Perish Trap teams. I forgot what year it was when, Wolfe showed us Perish Trap on his YT channel. Never mind the year, all that matters is that I have rational fear of going against Perish Trap cause of him and the trainers who followed along his path making Perish Trap teams. I don't know how I would react if I went against (Wolfe con Perish) in tournaments. I would try my best to face my fears and battle it out to the end;  whereas online battles (showdown or cartridge), I will immediately click "Run" on the second or thir...

2024 Orlando Regional

Image
Orlando Regional 2024 Last year I was planning to attend the Orlando Regionals, that making it my first in-person competition. However, I would not be able to save enough money to attend. Maybe one day in the future I will be able to attend. I had a lot of fun watching the 2024 Orlando Regional last week. It wasn't until Swiss Round 8 that I'd realize Wolfe ( Wolfey ) Glick had entered the competition. I slept through most of the rounds from round 3 - 8. It wasn't until I checked the results on RK9's website that I saw Wolfe Glick and Neil Patel ( Neil_VGC ) as competitors. There was no doubt Wolfey would make it to or close to the finals like he has in other competitions. Out of the few trainers, I was rooting for to make it to the finals on Day 2. Neil was someone I have dreamt would make it to the finals. That day would be April 15, 2024, but I never thought I'd see Neil and Wolfey battle in the finals. This match was something I wasn't prepared for. I was...

Pokemon Global Challenge II

Image
Last month, I was disappointed that I missed the registration period for the Pokemon Global Challenge. I had spent several weeks prepping for the competition online. The team, I was suppose to take to the first  Global Challenge, I decided to use for the "Global Challenge II", despite the shift in the meta.  Since January, I have come to like Archaludon and Tornadus somewhat. It is highly known that alot of Tornadus carry "Rain Dance", especially if you see an Archaludon on the team. I found it difficult to setup Rain Dance, and then switch in Archaludon to take a few hits that will boost its defense. Flutter Mane came in handy when I went against a few Trick Room teams.  From my experience in the Global Challenge II, I can see that I need a bit more experience with team building. My competitive team building skills have gone down since, Pokemon ORAS. I strive to make teams that i used to, teams based on Pokemon that are able to beat the top 15 used Pokemon.  I was ...
